What we do

Pipeline work, start to finish

Gas lines only. We don't repair stoves or hobs — if that's what you need, we'll tell you on the call.

New pipeline

A fresh copper run from the gas point to the hob, with a shut-off valve at the appliance end.

Concealed piping

Line chased into the wall or routed behind the platform, so nothing runs across your counter.

Cylinder shifting

Moving the cylinder out to the utility area or balcony, with the line extended back to the hob.

Second gas point

Branching the line for an oven, extra burner or geyser — each with its own isolation valve.

Leak check & repair

Tracing a gas smell to its source, re-making the joint, then testing the whole run before we leave.

Valves & regulator

Replacing worn ball valves, regulators and ISI hose. Hose past its expiry gets changed, not patched.

Know your line

What sits between the supply and your burner

Worth a quick look before you call — it makes describing the problem much faster.

Labelled diagram of a kitchen gas installation showing the incoming gas supply, gas meter, main valve, regulator and copper pipeline
On a cylinder connection there's no meter — the regulator sits straight on the cylinder valve, and everything after that is the same.
Main valveThe one handle that shuts everything off. Worth knowing where it is before you need it.
Branch valveIsolates one appliance, so you can shut the oven without killing gas to the hob.
Flexible hoseThe short tail into the appliance. Never inside a wall or a cabinet cut-out.
MeterPiped gas only, sealed by your PNG distributor. If the seal is disturbed, call them, not us.

How a job runs

A straightforward flat takes two to four hours. Concealed work usually needs a short second visit once the plaster sets.

We check the route

Where the gas comes in, where the hob sits, what's in between. Measured before any number is quoted.

You agree the price

Material, length and labour confirmed with you. Nothing is added later without asking.

The line goes in

Gas isolated, wall chased if concealed, copper pulled through and clamped, valves and tail fitted.

Tested, then lit

Every joint soap-tested under pressure, each burner checked, and we show you the shut-off valve.

Questions

Before you book

What does a kitchen gas pipeline cost?
It depends on the running length, whether it's exposed or concealed, and how many gas points you need. Tell us where the gas comes in and where the hob sits, and we'll give you a rate on the call.
Can the line be hidden inside the wall?
Yes — the usual choice for modular kitchens. The copper runs through a sleeve inside a chased channel, leaving only the valve and appliance tail visible. Concealed sections are always leak-tested before the wall is closed up.
Can you move the cylinder out of the kitchen?
In most apartments, yes — out to the utility area or a ventilated balcony cabinet, with the line extended back to the hob. The cylinder has to stay upright and reachable.
Do you handle PNG connections?
We do the appliance side, from your existing outlet valve to the hob. Meter installation and mains work is done by your licensed PNG distributor, not by us.
Do you repair stoves and hobs too?
No — pipeline work only. For a fault inside the appliance you'll want an appliance technician or the manufacturer's service centre.
